Lynn Wong's latest book is SMILE though your heart is ACHING. This is a much awaited book, a worthy sequel to her first book "As Time Goes By" published five years ago. Both her books are generally about life and living. They are not autobiographies.

Her first book is centred more on childhood memories and growing up pains based more on events, observations and her responses and reactions to them, with the innocence of a child. Her latest book, however, is about the adult world with its ups and downs.

It is also about fighting corporate battles.

The words she has chosen carry her thoughts succinctly. They are warm and friendly without being pretentious. The topics included in both her books cover a broad spectrum of subjects and events. Some are more hilarious and many are focused on a more serious note.

Her approach to life is spontaneous, governed by prudence and common sense. It appears lighthearted and easy. Being a keen observer, even trifles, will not escape her scrutiny. Her response to these is largely based on common sense and knowledge; laced with wisdom.

Her thoughts flow through smoothly from one idea to another and the transition is gentle, methodical, tidy and logical. Lynn's philosophy appears simple and yet very profound and thoughtful; gracious and tinged with a lot of human skills and understanding.

Her books are very personal and subjective; unique, highly perceptive, intimate and reflective. I have enjoyed reading both her books and excitedly look forward to her next one which I hope will not take too long to come to fruition.

Her artist -illustrator- is equally talented in bringing out the many encounters and experiences of the author through her drawings; depicting expressions, moods and emotions subtly and with precision. Congratulations to both of you for complementing each other perfectly!

The typography and layout is attractive and designed for easy reading. The book is available in major bookstores.

It is priced at RM27.90.

A PRAYER

Memories are frozen in time.
At some point in our lives we have lost loved ones, family, friends, colleagues and pets.  They were precious to us.  We mourned and grieved but nothing will bring them back.
Memories are all we have left.

*********

You were there for every major event in her life, cheering her on, pushing her forward and giving her the opportunity to excel. You loathed centre-stage attention and yet at the same time liked the feel of it.
Never one to miss out.  You watched from the sidelines while she took the limelight to appease your hunger!
She let you believe you were helping her when in fact it was the reverse!
Oh, you both were so good for each other!

At the launch of ATGB you took delight in making yourself useful, whether it be taking photos, offering coffee, or cracking jokes, you did them all with great enthusiasm.  Always with a ready smile and helping hand, you were great fun to be around.

Sad.  There'll be an empty seat at the launch of her second book. It won't be half as much joy and excitement as before.
Your physical presence will be sadly missed.
She'll have to imagine you're there with your infectious smiles and cheeky winks.

But it's almost certain she'll see you enter the room and walk towards her jauntily, arms outstretched.  She'll feel your warm embrace and reassuring pat on her back.
Your firm 'thumbs-Up' and words of encouragement and affirmation will continue to propel her forward.

In her mind you'll be circulating among the crowd, taking photos, serving coffee and cracking jokes...

THE WEDDING

Nostalgia lingers.
It was a wonderful wedding, perfect in every way.

An exceptionally heartwarming experience indeed to witness the sweet affection, adoration, and tenderness which were so freely dispensed and demonstrated by the families and friends of both bride and groom.
Such a wonderful feeling :-)

Wishing God's best for Ronald and Janice ..... xoxoxo

LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!

It's pointless to hang on to a relationship when it has been so clearly spelled out that you mean so little to the other party.
Why leech on?  That only breeds contempt.

Let it go.
Start afresh and delete the bad memories.
There's a whole new world waiting to be discovered.
Make some others who are more deserving of you, happy.

Life doesn't and shouldn't evolve around just one type of love relationship.
Love is Agape, Eros and Phileo ...

(Agape - God's love
Eros - love between lovers
Phileo - love between friends and siblings)

Explore, expand, examine and expound; all part of life's Experience before we expire!  :-)

Live, don't just exist.

WEDDED BLISS

There are few celebrations that can rival the union of two people in love.
And what joy and privilege to witness such a momentous, lovely and significant occasion in our family recently.

Heartiest Congratulations to the beautiful couple.

Bliss, sheer bliss ....

BREAK FREE

If we want a piece of the action, we'll have to go and make it happen.
It's unlikely that anyone would hand us the 'world' on a silver platter especially when we have hands and feet.

If you are satisfied with the 'crumbs' then by all means stay in the (deplorable) situation and conform. Otherwise break free.
You are infinitely more valuable than you think.

SECOND BOOK

It sounds about right...
Quite appropriate for the subject I'm writing on...
Might just work... has a good ring...
Short and catchy...

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

the title for my Second book....uhmmmm

Think I've stumbled on something worthy of serious consideration.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

Believing the best is yet to come, I wouldn't be too concerned if things aren't dandy right now.
Didn't think I could ever say this but yes, I welcome challenges.
Even if I don't they'll come anyway!  So, why waste energy fighting and resisting them.
Why not just take them in stride.

With time comes clarity, confidence, peace and boldness teamed with unwavering faith and hope for a secured future.

Some situation cannot be rushed and must be allowed to complete its course.

Breakthrough is sweet after a season of waiting just like rain is bliss after a season of drought...
