Lynn Wong's latest book is SMILE though your heart is ACHING. This is a much awaited book, a worthy sequel to her first book "As Time Goes By" published five years ago. Both her books are generally about life and living. They are not autobiographies.

Her first book is centred more on childhood memories and growing up pains based more on events, observations and her responses and reactions to them, with the innocence of a child. Her latest book, however, is about the adult world with its ups and downs.

It is also about fighting corporate battles.

The words she has chosen carry her thoughts succinctly. They are warm and friendly without being pretentious. The topics included in both her books cover a broad spectrum of subjects and events. Some are more hilarious and many are focused on a more serious note.

Her approach to life is spontaneous, governed by prudence and common sense. It appears lighthearted and easy. Being a keen observer, even trifles, will not escape her scrutiny. Her response to these is largely based on common sense and knowledge; laced with wisdom.

Her thoughts flow through smoothly from one idea to another and the transition is gentle, methodical, tidy and logical. Lynn's philosophy appears simple and yet very profound and thoughtful; gracious and tinged with a lot of human skills and understanding.

Her books are very personal and subjective; unique, highly perceptive, intimate and reflective. I have enjoyed reading both her books and excitedly look forward to her next one which I hope will not take too long to come to fruition.

Her artist -illustrator- is equally talented in bringing out the many encounters and experiences of the author through her drawings; depicting expressions, moods and emotions subtly and with precision. Congratulations to both of you for complementing each other perfectly!

The typography and layout is attractive and designed for easy reading. The book is available in major bookstores.

It is priced at RM27.90.

FLOODGATES

At times, the quickest and most effective prayer is: "Father, HELP!"
Forget the long flowery language. It's okay if our grammar is not perfect. God knows our heart and even before we ask, He is fully aware of our desire. Even so, He delights to hear from us and longs for our attention...just like any parent.
He is waiting and wanting to give us his best. As parents, we can relate: When our children ask for bread, do we give them stones? Certainly not! If we, being the way we are, want to bless our children, with the best we can afford, how much more will God whose resources are boundless, rain down blessings upon blessings on His beloved children.
Speak often to our Heavenly daddy and see if "he will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have enough room for it."

We are the apple of his eye.
YES and AMEN!

DUH

"Be friendly, peaceful and gentle," writes Rick Warren.
Gen. George S. Patton once said: "Never fight a battle in which you won't win anything." Agree!
The relationship is more significant than whether the blooming glass is half full or half empty! Duh. Who cares anyway!?
So often people argue senselessly. In the end the result is a soured relationship.
So sad.

REVERIE

It takes courage and gall to step out of our comfort zone. Changes and challenges are inevitable. We're not going to see the end of our troubles. Fat chance!
A stress free life is never going to happen no matter how physically, emotionally or spiritually strong we are.
The minute we think we have our act together, some issues (or people) will come along and spoil our reverie! If we die each time some thing goes wrong, we would die everyday!!!
Fret not but instead learn to take things in stride. And occasionally when the circumstances dictate, we might even have to forcefully take the bull by the horn! Face the consequences valiantly when that happens.
But mostly, our anxieties multiply with the emergence of just a lot of bullshit!😂
On the up side, work at turning obstacles into opportunities and witness the unfolding of a whole new world before us.
The miracle of 'walking on water' will not happen until we step out of the boat!

Make 2018 the best year ever...

AWESTRUCK

Witnessing an avalanche of epic breakthroughs...by divine intervention.
Feeling immensely grateful and awe struck.

OVERTAKE

"His blessings will chase me down and overtake me ..."

MY, OH MY ....

PROCRASTINATE

Let us not over stay at our comfort zone.
Resting on our laurels for too long is not good.
Once lethargy and complacency set in, we're going to find it increasingly difficult to move on.
To procrastinate is a bad habit.  Lazy bones become dry and die!

Stay engaged; keep exploring; take risks.
Do not plateau before our time.
And yes, be happy and always ready to help somebody.
