Lynn Wong's latest book is SMILE though your heart is ACHING. This is a much awaited book, a worthy sequel to her first book "As Time Goes By" published five years ago. Both her books are generally about life and living. They are not autobiographies.

Her first book is centred more on childhood memories and growing up pains based more on events, observations and her responses and reactions to them, with the innocence of a child. Her latest book, however, is about the adult world with its ups and downs.

It is also about fighting corporate battles.

The words she has chosen carry her thoughts succinctly. They are warm and friendly without being pretentious. The topics included in both her books cover a broad spectrum of subjects and events. Some are more hilarious and many are focused on a more serious note.

Her approach to life is spontaneous, governed by prudence and common sense. It appears lighthearted and easy. Being a keen observer, even trifles, will not escape her scrutiny. Her response to these is largely based on common sense and knowledge; laced with wisdom.

Her thoughts flow through smoothly from one idea to another and the transition is gentle, methodical, tidy and logical. Lynn's philosophy appears simple and yet very profound and thoughtful; gracious and tinged with a lot of human skills and understanding.

Her books are very personal and subjective; unique, highly perceptive, intimate and reflective. I have enjoyed reading both her books and excitedly look forward to her next one which I hope will not take too long to come to fruition.

Her artist -illustrator- is equally talented in bringing out the many encounters and experiences of the author through her drawings; depicting expressions, moods and emotions subtly and with precision. Congratulations to both of you for complementing each other perfectly!

The typography and layout is attractive and designed for easy reading. The book is available in major bookstores.

It is priced at RM27.90.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Hong Kong is special...very special!
I know I am always welcome there.
Great times with wonderful people who make our stay in Hong Kong truly fun and enjoyable each time.
It's an indescribable sensation to love and be loved back in return.  Hong Kong, my home away from home ....no other place or persons give me that sort of feeling when I'm on vacation.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Those were the days!
I love my life then and I love my life now - even more.
Don't worry, be happy!
What doesn't kill us will make us stronger ...

CRUISE BUDDIES

I like being the baby among my travel buddies!
Life is incredibly rich, satisfying and meaningful when you love and are loved back in return. Indeed it's worthwhile to invest in strong, supportive and enduring relationships. Cherish good friends and treasure them for life...

GOOD HARVEST

It is never out of style to be honest, humble, helpful and honorable ... even though it is becoming increasingly difficult to be.
Live with our future generation in mind. Sow good seeds that they might reap a bountiful good harvest ...

FAVOR

No, no I didn't finish all that by myself but I certainly enjoyed every morsel. My favorite siew-ngor-pei! (roast goose thigh) Super yummy.

Learning valuable lessons in life: Every good thing comes not by chance or luck but, I believe, by some measure of divine appointment and arrangement. Not luck surely but FAVOR follows us; favor which is some times unmerited ... undeserved ... and even unexpected. Life is abundant when we open our hearts not only to give but also to receive.
We love because He first loved us ...

REYKJAVIK

This could easily be mistaken for The Land of long white clouds, New Zealand! Uh uh..
Spotted this on the way to the airport at Reykjavik, Iceland. Such a startling contrast - harsh land below cottony billowing white clouds in perfect array. The moral of the story: In the midst of hardship there is still beauty if only we care to look...

PRODUCTIVE

Being busy is good. Being busy and productive is better.
Being productive without being overly busy is best!
"Minimum effort, maximum gain."
I've learned that when we invite God into our lives - in our academic pursuits, our careers, our relationships, our homes, our businesses etc. - somehow the challenges and burdens we inevitably will face seem lighter and more bearable. Here's to another productive week ahead.

DESTINY

Your destiny is calling.
Maybe it's to start a business; write a book; quit that mediocre job; end the toxic relationship, start a new one; go back to school; sign up for missions. Be a trailblazer. Scared? Afraid? We should be ... TERRIFIED... especially when we can't see what's ahead.
If we allow fear and intimidation to hold us back, we'll miss our destiny.
Step out of your comfort zone ... do whatever it takes even if it means you do it alone, afraid and against the tide of popular opinion. With the right attitude, all things will eventually work for your good. You'll see...

FOOD IN HKG

We left the foothills and interiors of Sabah and arrived at Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong, it's all about food!
To get to the best wanton soup noodles, we bravely ventured on foot into a part of the island that is hidden from tourists. We were determined to find the eatery on our own! And truly it was with great delight and satisfaction when we stumbled on the jewel after walking for what seemed like eternity. Small place but the reviews proved to be true...delicious but very pricey. Serving was small but Oh well, we enjoyed it. The experience gave me a good story to tell....hey I found Mak's Noodle!
Eat! Eat! EAT!
