Whenever we're going through tough or lonely times, we long to know we're loved and not forgotten. When that doesn't happen, it's reassuring to know that our names are written on the palm of God's hand. He has us covered from all angles at all time. How easy and quickly we forget. In this ever changing world, God is the ONLY constant.

Do something (even if it is only one thing) each day that is meaningful, driven by purpose and results in positive emotions.
This is the day that God has made...rejoice and be glad in it!

Writing has been and always will be my great passion. Thankfully it's not my rice bowl as I would have starved long ago! 
That aside I managed to turn passion into publication - my two books AS TIME GOES BY and SMILE THOUGH YOUR HEART IS ACHING.
To date SMILE has sold more than 1200 copies. No doubt the number is epic small (!!!) but I am no less ecstatic and THANKFUL being a mere dabbler in this field of publication.

INDIFFERENCE

We don't have to get it right the first time. That seldom happens anyway! However when we set our mind, heart and focus on something, usually that which we desire becomes attainable. Half heartedness is worse than indifference!
It may take longer than you expect to realize your dream but the wait will be worth it.

SIT AWHILE

As much as we want to we cannot always walk the extra mile for/with family and friends.
Hurting people mostly wish for someone to just sit awhile with them.
If "walking" is too taxing, then "sit" ...lend our shoulder; offer a listening ear; wear a cheerful smile and pleasant disposition. Be sincere.
Do this willingly and happily out of genuine concern. Leave complaining and grumbling out.

By the same token let us hope that others would reciprocate in a similar manner when we need to have someone sit a while with us ...

QUIP

"So, what do you do, now that you're retired?" well meaning people often ask.
"Well, apart from having the time of my life, I feel REFIRED!" say I.
Usually, that quip leads to the start of interesting and engaging conversation.
